New Volucam Model by IO Industries Records 4K/UHD Video at 120fps

The newest Volucam by IO Industries captures 4K/UHD video at up to 120fps! This is thanks to its 9MP Gpixel GMAX2509 global shutter image sensor.

The 2.5μm global shutter pixel design leads to an optical format of 11.9mm diagonal (2/3″) making it compatible with various C-mount lenses. Maximum frame rates are 120fps for 8-bit, 100fps for 10-bit, or 85fps for 12-bit. What’s more, it has a resolution of 4224×2160 pixels.

BirdDog P4K & P400 PTZ 4K Cameras Shipping Now!

The new 4K PTZ cameras – P4K and P400 – by BirdDog are now ready to ship!

The P4K 4K resolution, full bandwidth NDI camera delivers high quality images thanks to its 1″ Sony Exmor R CMOS back lit sensor and 14.4 million effective pixels. NDI is a variable bit rate, I-Frame codec reaching approximately 140Mbits at 1080p60 making it visually lossless. In addition to being full NDI, P4K offers two independent 6G SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output. Controllable remotely, P4K can communicate directly to BirdDog Cloud without a computer running Cloud Core.

The P400 has many of the same features as the P4K. The main difference can be found in the image sensor. While P4K features a 1 inch back-illuminated Sony sensor, P400 offers a 4K Sony 1 / 2.5 inch CMOS 8.5MP backlit sensor.

Flex 4K Family by BirdDog is among the smallest 4K NDI encoders and decoders available on the market. With three distinct models, these one cable solutions offer tally, audio, video, PTZ control, audio intercom and power along a single Ethernet cable.

The Flex 4K IN and Flex 4K BACKPACK provide 15W of extra power. This means the DC output is capable of powering a monitor, recorder and/or camera. In addition to the 15W power output, Flex BACKPACK offers an NP style battery connection. This camera top monitor recorder upgrade allows users to encode NDI, power the monitor and record simultaneously. The third model, Flex 4K NDI, provides unparalleled thermal design plus quiet fans.

Dejero Releases Core Software Update

The Core 5.4 software update by Dejero enables 4K UHD encoding/decoding, enhances stream encryptions and adds an additional two-way communication channel. The latest version of this software improves Dejero’s EnGo mobile transmitter, rack-mounted FlexPoint transceiver, PathWay encoder and WayPoint receiver.

Proprietary Smart Blending Technology enhances connection path reliability, delivers greater bandwidth, and expands coverage. Working alongside this is Dejero’s Hybrid Encoding Technology. Thanks to this technology, high-quality video is delivered even in challenging situations where bandwidth is constrained. In other words, it is well-suited for low-latency, live video contribution.

As previously mentioned, version 5.4 introduces new features to a variety of Dejero solutions. For instance, the FlexPoint 111 transceiver (integrated encoder/decoder) can now transmit and receive resolutions of up to 4K UHD at 60 fps with live bitrates up to 60Mb/s. The EnGo 1.3 & EnGo 260 mobile transmitters and WayPoint 104 receiver now offer two-way intercom communication. EnGo 260 also includes enhanced power management.

Lastly, Core 5.4 increases transmission security. It features AES with 256 bit key, keeping audio and video data secure. This is particularly important when using a single public network connection.

IO Industries 4KSDI Mini Pairs with CyanView RCP!

Highlighted at IBC 2019, the Victorem 4KSDI-Mini Global Shutter by IO Industries pairs well with the universal remote control panel, Cy-RCP, by CyanView.

Victorem 4KSDI Mini features a Sony Pregius IMX305 sensor as well as a variety of output modes which include 4K, UHD, 2K, 1080p, 1080i, up to 60fps.

The Cy-RCP remote is IP-based and rather than a web interface, includes physical buttons. The remote is supported by the Cy-CI0. A simple RJ45 connection enables control of cameras, lenses, etc. via RS232, RS422, RS485 and LANC serial protocols. PoE+ provides the necessary power.
