The MAGIC TH1Go by AVT is a single-hybrid solution with analog audio interfaces. It is controlled via analogue telephone or web browser and includes a digital echocanceller, automatic gain control (AGC) and expander.
Two system configurations are available. The first configuration is the MAGIC TH1ipGo operated via the LAN interface as one channel VoIP hybrid. The second, the MAGIC TH1potsGo, offers one POTS interface and can be controlled via analogue telephone lines.
Additional features include:
Pretalk via analogue telephone or second audio interface
Voice disguise for caller identity protection
Recording of HOLD signal or external signal as HOLD signal
With the new MAGIC DABMUX Plus Monitoring Decoder by AVT, monitor the DAB transmission signal at any location in the EDI distribution network.
Monitor up to 50 EDI streams in order to locate errors. Fully decode an ensemble, with up to 25 programs being decoded and listened to simultaneously. The default configuration allows for the use of one EDI input and one decoder incl. service monitor, plus simultaneous DLS and SLS decoding for all programs.
An overview of all monitored EDI streams are displayed on the web interface. Listen to the selected program directly in the browser thanks to the service monitor incl. webstream decoder. An output via AES67 is also available.
Simultaneous monitoring on different levels including:
EDI input monitoring for up to 50 EDI streams
Ensemble and Service Information (ID, label, time, ensemble, load) for the selected input
Audio and PAD decoding for the selected service/sub-channel
Service logo extraction per program
Additionally, integration into a network management system is possible via SNMP. Monitor the system externally via the DAB System Manager (as option).
Optional extensions include EDI inputs (up to 50 total) and Audio decoders (up to 25).
Various modules include Ravenna/AES67, ETI (75 ohms) and Dual LAN (expands system by two 100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces).

The new MAGIC Server by AVT expands their telephone hybrid portfolio with a scalable, software-based telephone hybrid & audio codec server.
With MAGIC Server, MAGIC telephone hybrids and audio codecs are available as a centralized, scalable software solution. As AVT explains: “The integration supports all functionalities of the hardware system and integrates MAGIC Collaboration Services for MS Teams and WebRTC connectivity which were introduced at IBC 2022.”
In addition to the MAGIC Server Software, just a regular server or VM is required.

AVT releases its MAGIC Collaboration Server with Video! With the MAGIC Collaboration Server, the MAGIC telephone hybrids enable connection to Microsoft Teams collaboration software. In other words, an integrated video signal joins the list of current functions.
The MAGIC Collaboration Server is available in a modular approach. Use it for audio only or with the addition of a video signal. Thanks to the Satin Codec used in MS Teams, the quality is independent from the network infrastructure.
At this time, Microsoft Teams calls are possible in the same, simple workflow as normal calls. The video signal is displayed directly in the user interface and can also be output via NDI.
Support for Web-RTC will be added later this year to make the MAGIC Collaboration Server even more versatile.

The digital broadcast technology DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) broadband system allows users to transmit several programmes from one or more programme provider in one Ensemble.
AVT manufactures a variety of DAB systems, offering complete solutions for DAB headends.
Digital Audio Broadcasting, the successor of analogue radio, has significant advantages including: efficient distribution options, various data services such as SlideShow for album covers, SPI(EPG), TPEG for extended traffic information etc., and noise-free audio programs.
Create 15-20 audio programmes by multiplexing a single frequency within an ensemble. Install hardware-based DAB/DAB+ Audio Encoders separately and directly from the program providers. Achieve the best possible audio quality by avoiding multiple coding in the input. Program providers who are also ensemble providers and broadcast several programs can set up software-based Audio Encoders directly on the Ensemble Multiplexer or use single or multi-channel hardware Audio Encoders.
The central system of a DAB headend is the Ensemble Multiplexer. AVT offers four different systems ranging from small-scale DAB multiplexers to professional DAB multiplexers on DSP base or based on the Fraunhofer ContentServer.
Monitor an ensemble multiplex with the ETI/EDI Monitoring Decoder. For more in-depth analysis of the DAB signal, a wired ETI/EDI analyser with integrated ensemble recorder and player is available.
And finally, the DSP-based, highly available and maintenance-free Tunnel Break-In System with integrated modulator & remodulator offers a voice break-in for up to two independent ensembles.

Audio Codecs are required for high-quality audio transmissions over various networks including IP, ISDN, 2-Mbit/s (E1) and X.21. Over IP and ISDN, use both Leased Line and temporary dial-up connections with AVT’s audio codecs.
The various applications for Audio Codecs include: reporting, studio programme contribution & distribution, and Studio-Transmitter-Links.
One of the popular Audio Codecs by AVT is the MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge. This multi-channel PCM system enables transmission of up to 32 uncompressed audio signals via wide area networks (WAN). In other words, it enables Dante Network connections over large distances. The coding is done via PCM16/PCM24/PCM32. The integrated 32-channel Dante interface provides audio connection for the audio inputs/outputs. It also features redundant GbE interfaces and supports AES67. Manage up to 10 systems from five workplaces thanks to its user-friendly operating software.
Limited maximum latency of Dante in wide area networks, high jitter and possible time differences can make reliable transmission difficult. The MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge solves these issues by offering a jitter buffer that includes an automatic mode and intelligent sample rate adaption (SRA).

The MAGICTHipPro Lite telephone hybrids by AVT are based on the THipPro hardware, but with a reduced range of functions. They are available with 4 or 8 caller lines and have two LAN interfaces used for control and VoIP calls (option). Alternatively, integrate POTS modules to provide 4 or 8 POTS interfaces for connection to analogue telephone lines. Enable the line interfaces via the VoIP & HD Voice option or the integration of POTS modules.
THipPro Lite has four digital audio lines (two AES/EBU interfaces) and two analogue audio inputs & outputs. An extension to eight digital audio lines (four AES/EBU interfaces) is also available (option), as are two handset/headset interfaces. Optionally, the AES67 upgrade allows the use of eight additional audio channels (8 x RX (2 streams) and 8 x TX (1 stream)) via IP. Alternatively, use a Ravenna or Dante module (option). Assign the audio interfaces as desired to 6 installed workplaces (one licence is included) and 2 studios.
Three Operating Modes
Use the system in three operating modes. In one fader mode all callers set to ON AIR are switched to conference/available on the selected audio output as a mixed signal. Automatically generate N-1 signal for each caller line. In two faders mode there are two ON AIR lines. Callers can be output on separate audio outputs or switched to a common audio line in conference. And finally in four or eight faders mode define a separate ON AIR line for each caller. Each caller is available on a separate audio output. Mix via the mixing console.
Finally, use the telephone hybrid for two studios in one-fader, two-fader or four- or eight-fader operation. Display only the selected caller lines in each studio with each studio having its own ON AIR and PRETALK lines.
