Expanded 2110 & 2022-6 Functionalities in Sx TAG IP

The latest version of the PHABRIX Sx TAG IP incorporates 2110 & 2022-6 emSFP updates from Riedel.

New features now available for the Sx TAG include:

• NMOS IS-08 Audio Channel Mapping for up to 16ch 2110-30 (PCM) & 2110-31 (AES3) formatted Audio
• Updates for NMOS IS-04 & IS-05

Thanks to these innovations, Sx TAG has become the first handheld 2110 / 2022-6 test equipment.

The NMOS feature set is configurable with Riedel MN SET software. Quickly monitor devices & signals, configurations, and upgrades with this software. In addition, route individual flows or logical sources with the intuitive control panel. As a PHABRIX Sx TAG customer, get MN SET directly from the PHABRIX website.

Existing Sx TAG IP devices will be upgraded to the latest 2110 and NMOS formats.

New 2110 IP Generator Instrument for PHABRIX QxL

PHABRIX releases QxL version 4.2: the QxL rasterizer now generates the user interface (GUI) as a 2110 flow, making the GUI viewable from anywhere!

V4.2 allows the QxL to simultaneously generate and analyze SMPTE 2110/2022-7 video & audio flows. It can generate two sets of video & audio 2022-7 flow pairs as part of the generator license:

Test pattern as a flow: 1 x ST 2110-20 (video) and 4 x ST 2110-30/31 (audio) with 2022-7
Monitor output (GUI) as a flow: 1 x ST 2110-20 (video) and 1 x ST 2110-30/31 (audio) with 2022-7
Up to seven flow pairs (14 flows) from generator and monitor output.

Phabrix to demonstrate Hybrid IP/SDI analysis & monitoring at NAB 2019

At this year’s NAB Show, Phabrix will launch a V3.0 software release for its Qx rasterizer, which offers the latest hybrid IP/SDI test and measurement tools. The Qx now supports SMPTE 2110 (-20, -30, -31, -40), ST 2059 Precision Time protocol (PTP) and two-port ST 2022-7 seamless protection. It also provides simultaneous monitoring of 1 video, 2 audio – supporting up to 16 channels each at 1ms and 125us with either PCM or AES3 Transport – and 1 ANC data flow for up to 16 active, scalable windows. The newest features include operator status information for PTP, 2022-7 seamless reconstruction and the timing relationship of flows to PTP.

In its upcoming release and demonstration at NAB, the Qx ST 2110 advanced engineering features include the measurement of ST 2110-21 network compatibility and virtual receiver buffer models, advanced PTP to Flow Timing data view, as well as Inter-Packet Arrival Times for all flows contributing to the ST 2022-7 seamless reconstruction.

The Qx rasterizer, alongside PHABRIX’s handheld Sx TAG provides a solution for hybrid IP/SDI environments. Sx TAG offers support for SMPTE 2110 (-20, -30, -40) encapsulation and decapsulation with ST 2059 PTP. The new features include SDI to IP and IP to SDI gateways for both ST 2110 and ST 2022-6, plus the ability to generate an analog reference output slaved to the ST 2059 PTP or 2022-6 IP input.
