Rx Range of Rasterizer Products: VIDEO by PHABRIX

PHABRIX released a video of their Rx range of test & measurement rasterizer products. The Rx Series is perfect for analyzing, generating and monitoring 3G/HD/SD SDI signals.

Overall, the Rx Series includes 3 models with identical software features*:

  • Rx 500: 2 channel analyzer/generator & monitoring system (1/2 1U)
  • Rx 1000: Compact 4 channel analyzer/generator & monitoring system (1U)
  • Rx 2000: 4 channel analyzer/generator with monitoring via dual built-in screens & audio speakers (2U)

*The choice of model comes down to the desired form-factor and number of signals to be monitored simultaneously. One module required per signal.

AV Delay toolset on PHABRIX Sx Handheld Series VIDEO

The AV Delay toolset on the PHABRIX handheld Sx range measures audio to video differential delay through a broadcast chain.

PHABRIX_Sx_AVDelay_TEVIOS

In addition to providing a real-time update of the differential delay between video content and a selected audio channel pair, PHABRIX’s AV Delay Generation and Analysis also measures the propagation (latency), or pipeline delay, of the video and audio content.

See this toolset explained in the demo video below:

JT-NM Self-Test results for PHABRIX’ Qx Rasterizer & Sx TAG

Various PHABRIX solutions successfully self-tested against the criteria for AMWA NMOS TR-1001-1 and SMPTE 2110 at the JT-NM Spring 2020 self-test. The products that self-tested include the Qx rasterizer and handheld Sx TAG.

PHABIRX_JT-NM self-test_TEVIOS

The JT-NM Tested Program shows how various IP-based equipment aligns with the SMPTE ST 2110, SMPTE ST 2059 and AMWA NMOS TR-1001-1 standards and requirements. The Qx ST 2110 “JT-NM Self-Tested” core IP feature set provides operators with ST 2110 confidence status monitoring. Furthermore, it is designed for HD IP ST 2110/2022-7 AMWA NMOS and ST 2022-6 environments. The Sx TAG, on the other hand, offers support for modern broadcast IP systems with JT-NM Self-Tested encapsulation and decapsulation. A built-in synchroniser supports hybrid operation, allowing asynchronous SDI sources to be locked to PTP for ST 2110 encapsulation.
