LYNX Technik has announced the expansion of its Series 5000 platform with the launch of three new 12G-SDI cards. Designed to support next-generation broadcast workflows, the new additions provide advanced signal synchronization and audio processing capabilities, giving broadcasters and content creators a straightforward path to 12G-SDI adoption.
The lineup includes a frame synchronizer and two audio embedder/de-embedder modules:
- PVD 5400 O – a single-channel frame synchronizer for 12G-SDI environments
- PDM 5248 UO DO – a digital AES audio embedder and de-embedder
- PDM 5348 O – an analog audio embedder and de-embedder
All three cards are fully compatible with LYNX Centraal, the company’s centralized software for monitoring, control, and firmware updates. Each module features an integrated optical SFP slot, enabling fiber connectivity.
The PVD 5400 O supports up to 30 frames of video delay and re-embeds all audio after synchronization, making it ideal for broadcast timing, live production environments, and feed alignment.
Meanwhile, the PDM 5248 and PDM 5348 provide flexible audio integration for digital and analog sources, with full per-channel processing, an onboard audio mixer, and up to 32 frames of audio delay. A built-in SDI test pattern generator ensures valid output even without active video input, streamlining troubleshooting and system verification.
These modules are designed as drop-in replacements within the Series 5000 ecosystem, offering a smooth upgrade path to 12G-SDI without requiring major infrastructure changes.
Key Features:
- Integrated fiber I/O via SFP
- Per-channel audio processing + mixer
- Up to 32 frames of audio delay
- Test pattern generator for signal presence even without video input
- Full integration with LYNX Centraal software
