The QxL feature-rich 25G IP ST 2110 rasterizer by PHABRIX wins Silver in the 2021 Digital Media World Awards! Meanwhile, the Sx TAG IP handheld instrument takes home a Special Merit award.

The QxL rasterizer supports HD/3G 2110 and 2022-6 payloads on generic 10G/25G SFP28 interfaces for real-time UHD IP workflows on 25G networks. It is 10G/25G IP-enabled as standard while supporting JT-NM TR 1001- 1:2018, ST 2110-20 (video), 2110-30 (PCM) and 2110-31 (AES transport) audio, 2110-40 ANC media flows, all with 2022-7 Seamless IP Protection Switching (SIPS). On both media ports, dual independent PTP engines are supplied. Plus with its flexible architecture, upgrade the license in-field for UHD/4K, HDR and other features.

The Sx TAG handheld device is perfect for IP, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, optical SDI, HDMI and Analog test & measurement as well as AES eye analysis. It features SFP, SDI and analog I/O. Additionally, Sx TAG supports SMPTE ST 2110-20/30/40 encapsulation/decapsulation with ST 2059 PTP, SDP and NMOS. And it has a multi-format waveform, vectorscope and video display, as well as data view and VANC/ANC inspector.

PHABRIX QxL Rasterizer Wins Product of the Year!

The QxL rasterizer by PHABRIX is an IABM BaM Awards® 2021 finalist and NABShow Product of the Year Winner!

The ultra-compact, feature-rich 25G IP 2110 QxL rasterizer recently became an IABM BaM Awards® 2021 finalist. Only weeks before, it won NABShow Product of the Year in the ‘Best New Monitoring and Measuring Technology’ category.

The QxL rasterizer primarily supports IP SMPTE 2110/2022-7 and IP SMPTE 2022-6 signals up to UHD formats. It also contains the same JT-NM Tested features as the Qx. Thanks to its 25G interface network, the QxL is able to handle 4K in IP. The rasterizer can be optionally fitted with SDI interfaces while supporting formats from HD to UHD. In the latest software release, the QxL rasterizer generates the user interface (GUI) as a 2110 flow, making the GUI viewable from anywhere!

Awarded by TV Technology, the greenMachine HDR Evie+ solution by LYNX Technik recently took home a 2020 Product Innovation Award!

HDR Evie+ offers a unique approach to HDR down conversion. Converting HDR to SDR, HDR Evie+ helps retain detail in darker areas and preserve detail in bright areas that would typically be burned out by other HDR to SDR converters. More specifically, it utilizes patented dynamic segmented frame-by-frame algorithms that use sectional dynamic tone mapping. This allows for individual segment adjustment (144 segments/frame) of the 3G or 4K HDR content in real-time.

The segmented dynamic conversion is perfect for demanding and unpredictable content. This includes fast moving subjects and high contrast conditions, content primarily found in news broadcasts and live sports.

PHABRIX QxL – 25G IP Rasterizer Wins Silver at DMW Awards 2020!

The QxL – 25G IP Rasterizer by PHABRIX receives silver for IP Broadcast Solutions at the Digital Media World Awards 2020. The QxL supports IP media as standard while offering SDI as an option.

Flexible and compact, this 25GbE UHD rasterizer meets the requirements of 10GbE/25GbE IP workflows. This IP-enabled rasterizer supports JT-NM TR 1001-1:2018, 2110-20 (video), 2110-30 (PCM audio), 2110-31 (AES audio), and 2110-40 (ANC) media flows. It also provides fully-redundant media network operation thanks to 2022-7 Seamless IP Protection Switching (SIPS) and independent PTP slaves on each media port.

The QxL toolset supports DHCP on all IP ports. It also offers unicast DNS-SD, AMWA NMOS IS-04 Discovery and Registration, IS-05 Connection management and Network Topology Discovery using LLDP. The user-friendly GUI offers 16 user-configurable windows for rapid visualization of various workflow and traffic configurations.

Most importantly for HD IP broadcasting, an SDI I/O option provides 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI single, dual and quad link support making it one of the first devices of its kind for which SDI is an option, and not part of the core. It features optional Real Time Eye (RTE) 12G-SDI Eye and Jitter physical layer analysis. Furthermore, licenses can be added in order to accommodate UHD over IP, QC, engineering and HDR.

The QxL UHD 25G IP Rasterizer by PHABRIX Ltd. won Future’s 2020 Best of Show Special Edition Award!

The award, presented by TV Technology, highlights the QxL – the world’s most flexible UHD-25G rasterizer. The QxL addresses the needs of professional broadcast media IP networks in a compact form factor. It includes the Qx’s JT-NM Tested features while supporting JT-NM TR 1001-1:2018, 2110-20 (video), 2110-30 (PCM audio), 2110-31 (AES transport) and 2110-40 ANC media flows. This 25G/10G IP enabled rasterizer provides fully-redundant media network operation all with 2022-7 Seamless IP Protection Switching (SIPS) and independent PTP slaves.

Thanks to Link Layer Discovery protocol (LLDP), the toolset provides much needed support for the user. Moreover, IP media interfaces are included while 12G-SDI media interfaces with SDI Eye and Jitter measurement are optional add-ons. The GUI provides up to 17 user-configurable windows with various presets plus a comprehensive set of quality control tools.
