Dejero Hybrid Encoding Technology for low-latency, live video scenarios

Dejero Hybrid Encoding Technology is a highly specialized hybrid architecture designed for low-latency, live video contribution scenarios.

Dejero_HybridEncodingTechnology_workflow_TEVIOS

By utilizing a hybrid approach, Dejero provides the speed and efficiency of hardware as well as the flexibility, adaptability and upgradeability of software. The hardware itself is a fast and efficient encoder with field-upgradeable software. Together, this maximizes video quality by dynamically adapting encoding in real time.

Hybrid Encoding Technology works in tandem with Dejero Smart Blending Technology. They form an integrated system that adapts to real-time feedback about the blended connection’s throughput capacity and latency.

Specific features include:

  • Hardware-based encoder: ensures ultra-low latency, power-efficient encoding
  • Auto-scaler: maximizes resolution to reliably encode & transport
  • Resolution optimizer: incorporates complexity & connection feedback to determine max. resolution (spatial & temporal)
  • I-frame request: reduces required transmission bandwidth by only requesting I-frames when needed
  • Complexity analyzer: offers real-time feedback from the hardware encoder
  • Connection analyzer: offers real-time feedback about the blended connection’s throughput capacity & latency

Dejero Releases EnGo 265 Mobile Transmitter!

Dejero recently released their EnGo 265 mobile transmitter, designed for broadcasters who need resilient wireless internet access in challenging environments.

Dejero_EnGo265_BackpackMobileTransmitter_TEVIOS

EnGo 265 offers a host of new features, including GateWay Mode. GateWay mode provides wireless broadband internet connectivity in the field. Additional features include:

  • Latency as low as 0.5 seconds over bonded cellular connections
  • Wired remote to quickly and easily start/stop video transmissions
  • Improved security

Like its predecessor, the EnGo 260, EnGo 265 uses Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology. This combines multiple network connections to transmit broadcast-quality live video in real-time while managing fluctuating bandwidth, packet loss, and latency differences of individual connections.

The transmitter also features high-efficiency antennas and RF design which ensure ultra-reliable cellular reception in poor coverage and crowded areas.

Dejero Intercom with Dante Virtual Soundcard

Dejero Intercom allows for two-way audio communication between an EnGo 260 mobile transmitter and a WayPoint 50/104 receiver in real time! Thanks to the Dante Virtual Soundcard, use audio over an IP connection.

Dejero_Intercom_flow_TEVIOS

The Intercom feature is available once the Dejero EnGo 260 is ready to transmit or when transmitting live. To use the feature, the Logitech H390 headset must be connected to the EnGo, otherwise audio won’t be transmitted. Once the headset is properly connected, audio meters appear on the EnGo preview screen.

Remember, Intercom works independently of one-way IFB. This allows for an IFB channel for talent and a two-way Intercom channel for the camera operator.
