LYNX greenMachine 4FS: Quad Channel Frame Synchronizer

The LYNX greenMachine GMPT-4FS is a four channel frame synchronizer featuring basic image processing, video conversion, test pattern generator and audio routing capabilities.

Use this particular package on the greenMachine titan HW platform for formats up to 3Gbit/s SDI. It is ideal for applications requiring dependable broadcast-quality frame synchronization with full audio processing capabilities. The scaler (included) allows for spatial conversions of the video signal. Synchronize the video signals with a bi-level SD reference signal and tri-level HD reference signal.

The greenMachine GMPT-4FS has AES & analog audio inputs/outputs with optional fiber SFP inputs/outputs.

Additional features include:

  • Support for one MADI input and output and four external audio
  • Two Dolby E® decoders, Dolby E® synchronization, full audio processing
  • Multiple adjustable user delays for audio & video
  • Basic test pattern generator
  • Multiple additional processing features allow for adjustments of the video content, e.g. gain, hue etc.

LYNX yellobrik Rack Extension Available for greenMachine Rack Frame

LYNX Technik releases a yellobrik extension kit, RYB 6000, for its popular greenMachine rack frame. The RYB 6000 adds up to six yellobriks next to any greenMachine!

This new RYB 6000 extension kit for the greenMachine RFR 6000 rack frame adds rack space for the yellobrik line of throw-down signal processing solutions. Now, rack both greenMachine and yellobrik modules in a single system.

The frame extension holds up to six, standard-sized yellobriks and fits neatly next to the greenMachine hardware installed in the RFR 6000. It has built-in power connections while accommodating two power supplies for redundancy protection. It also offers GPIO functionality via an RJ-45 connector.

Thanks to this rack frame and rack extension system, save on cabling, power and space. Plus, access the modules quickly and reduce time spent on maintenance.

LYNX greenMachine Callisto+ with Dual-Channel Converter Configuration

The greenMachine Callisto+ general purpose hardware device by LYNX Technik provides simultaneous processing of two individual SD/HD/3G SDI signals.

When 4K is not required, Callisto+ is the cost-effective and entry level signal processing solution. As a powerful, general-purpose audio & video processing device, it performs various functions using one of the greenMachine configurations/constellations. One such constellation is the the two channel 3G SDI up/down/cross converter, 2CUPXD.

GMC-2CUPXD converts between SD, HD and 3G video formats. It is fully featured and includes a frame synchronizer, 3G scaler, de-interlacer with motion adaptive filtering, embedded metadata management, color correction for gain, lift and gamma adjustment, plus additional video adjustment features.

Select and license multiple constellations with an option to “try before you buy” (with watermarks at outputs). This adaptability and customization helps to future proof the investment of the flexible greenMachine concept.

HDR Evie+ by LYNX Technik is a Product Innovation Award Winner!

Awarded by TV Technology, the greenMachine HDR Evie+ solution by LYNX Technik recently took home a 2020 Product Innovation Award!

HDR Evie+ offers a unique approach to HDR down conversion. Converting HDR to SDR, HDR Evie+ helps retain detail in darker areas and preserve detail in bright areas that would typically be burned out by other HDR to SDR converters. More specifically, it utilizes patented dynamic segmented frame-by-frame algorithms that use sectional dynamic tone mapping. This allows for individual segment adjustment (144 segments/frame) of the 3G or 4K HDR content in real-time.

The segmented dynamic conversion is perfect for demanding and unpredictable content. This includes fast moving subjects and high contrast conditions, content primarily found in news broadcasts and live sports.

LYNX Technik to launch greenMachine Static HDR Converter

At this year’s NAB Show, LYNX Technik AG® will be launching a static HDR/SDR Converter for its greenMachine processing platform.

The greenMachine Static HDR provides a powerful conversion and processing tool that will ensure the rich and high dynamic range imagery and enhanced color gamut captured by HDR cameras gets successfully delivered to the viewing audience.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is important in today’s modern workflow as it offers viewers enhanced contrast and increased brightness plus more vibrant color, creating a superior image to current standard HD and 4K UHD signals. Not only does the greenMachine HDR static conversion solution provide this enhanced viewing experience, it also allows users to mix SDR and HDR production in a single real-time workflow.

Through sophisticated algorithms and the automated application of color and contrast corrections, the adaptive and universal greenMachine HDR Converter supports real-time static HDR conversion between SDR and HDR, HDR and SDR, and between different HDR standards delivering greatly enhanced images.

The greenMachine HDR Converter operates in both single channel (12G SDI 4K UHD) and 4-channel mode (3G SDI 1080p). Furthermore, it provides video frame synchronization, full audio support and 4K/UHD up/down conversion with cross-conversion also being available in the 4K single channel mode.

The included CustomControl software driven by the greenGUI interface offers a simplified control interface and all color and contrast parameters in the HDR conversion process. greenMachine HDR is compatible with greenMachine titan 4-channel hardware and, like all greenMachine Constellations (configurations) can be controlled and monitored remotely via third party master control software.
