Dejero Intercom with Dante Virtual Soundcard

Dejero Intercom allows for two-way audio communication between an EnGo 260 mobile transmitter and a WayPoint 50/104 receiver in real time! Thanks to the Dante Virtual Soundcard, use audio over an IP connection.

The Intercom feature is available once the Dejero EnGo 260 is ready to transmit or when transmitting live. To use the feature, the Logitech H390 headset must be connected to the EnGo, otherwise audio won’t be transmitted. Once the headset is properly connected, audio meters appear on the EnGo preview screen.

Remember, Intercom works independently of one-way IFB. This allows for an IFB channel for talent and a two-way Intercom channel for the camera operator.

The WayPoint 50 decodes HEVC or AVC streams from Dejero transmitters such as the EnGo 260 and outputs to SDI or MPEG-TS workflows. Communicating in live and stand-by mode with camera operators and talent in the field has never been easier thanks to IFB support. All receivers are manageable remotely from any device with a web browser.

The compact design of the WayPoint 50 features a short-depth chassis for 19″ rack systems. In other words, it fits easily in portable fly away kits and production vehicles where space is limited.

Additional features include:

  • Multiple output formats (SDI or MPEG-TS over IP)
  • Codec auto-detection
  • High performance intel processor
  • Black burst & tri-sync
  • 2, 4 or 8 simultaneous audio outputs

Dejero Releases Core Software Update

The Core 5.4 software update by Dejero enables 4K UHD encoding/decoding, enhances stream encryptions and adds an additional two-way communication channel. The latest version of this software improves Dejero’s EnGo mobile transmitter, rack-mounted FlexPoint transceiver, PathWay encoder and WayPoint receiver.

Proprietary Smart Blending Technology enhances connection path reliability, delivers greater bandwidth, and expands coverage. Working alongside this is Dejero’s Hybrid Encoding Technology. Thanks to this technology, high-quality video is delivered even in challenging situations where bandwidth is constrained. In other words, it is well-suited for low-latency, live video contribution.

As previously mentioned, version 5.4 introduces new features to a variety of Dejero solutions. For instance, the FlexPoint 111 transceiver (integrated encoder/decoder) can now transmit and receive resolutions of up to 4K UHD at 60 fps with live bitrates up to 60Mb/s. The EnGo 1.3 & EnGo 260 mobile transmitters and WayPoint 104 receiver now offer two-way intercom communication. EnGo 260 also includes enhanced power management.

Lastly, Core 5.4 increases transmission security. It features AES with 256 bit key, keeping audio and video data secure. This is particularly important when using a single public network connection.

Compact WayPoint 50 & CuePoint 50: New Remote Production Solutions

Dejero releases its compact WayPoint 50 receiver and CuePoint 50 return video and teleprompter server! These compact, quickly deployable solutions ensure business continuity and agile remote production capabilities. Thanks to the smaller chassis, both the receiver and server fit neatly into remote production vehicles and/or portable flyaway kits.

The new WayPoint 50 is a single-output compact receiver. It transports video over multiple IP connections from a Dejero transmitter, decodes HEVC or AVC, and outputs to SDI or MPEG-TS workflows.

When it comes to the compact CuePoint 50 return feed server, users send low-latency live program video and teleprompter feeds. This allows synchronization with central production during live broadcasts. Eight output feeds are viewable on tablets, smartphones or monitors.
