TAG Video Systems recently added support for NDI 5, the latest version of Network Device Interface, and SRT, Secure Reliable Transport. These two protocols increase connectivity and signal transport options while opening the door to further collaboration and creativity!

NDI 5

Network Device Interface (NDI) is a realtime low latency IP video network technology that allows users to build IP-based video networks and benefit from uncompressed video IP networks. With NDI 5, connect to a wide range of NDI sources such as cameras, switchers, PCs, phones, and video conferencing applications (i.e. Skype). Also capture the output from PCs in order to add websites, PC UIs and video conference participants as tiles on a TAG mosaic. Additionally, enable NDI as an output format. This creates an inexpensive, low-latency and high-quality connection to display devices.

SRT

Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) is an open-source transport protocol. It allows for robust transmission of high-quality high-bandwidth video signals over public internet, unmanaged networks, and WANs without loss or impairments. SRT assures transport of signals across networks with no loss of quality and minimal latency while providing encryption, protecting content during transit. Thanks to SRT support, acquire signals from distant viewers such as remote workers. SRT is often used in cloud workflows and ground to cloud/cloud to ground links to build live linear cloud workflows.

Finally, when current TAG customers upgrade to the latest version of TAG software, they can enable NDI and SRT at no additional cost.
