Nixer VIDEO Highlights the RL64 Dante Audio Monitor

In this video, Nixer Pro Audio CEO Nick Fletcher introduces and presents the RL64 Dante 1U rack mounted 64 channel Dante audio monitor.

In short, this 19 inch rack mounted Dante monitoring and mixing unit, offers two modes of operation. The first mode is a mixing mode. Mix up to 64 Dante channels at 48kHz  or 32 channels at 96kHz plus microphone input and AES input, creating a 67 into 2 mixer. The second mode is a simple listen mode. Touching a channel instantly routes to the LR output and cancels the previous selection.

Introducing the Nixer RL256 Dante Monitor

The latest addition to the Nixer Pro Audio lineup is the RL256 Dante monitor, designed for operators to provide cost-effective monitoring across multiple networks with high channel counts. More specifically, the RL256 has 4 x Dante ports (64 channels per port) totaling 256 channels being monitored at one time.

Simply load the RL256 with up to 4 ports of Dante, thus enabling the monitoring of 256 channels. Operate the unit via swipe gestures on the touchscreen. For instance, swipe down to switch to alternative ports. Listen to audio via the built-in speakers or headphone output.

Nick Fletcher, CEO of Nixer, introduces the RL256 in this short video.

AVT Introduces new MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge

The MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge by AVT is a multi-channel PCM system that enables transmission of up to 32 uncompressed audio signals via wide area networks (WAN). This enables Dante Network connections over large distances.

AVT_MAGIC Dante WAN Bridge_audiotransmission_TEVIOS

More specifically, the coding is done via PCM16/PCM24/PCM32. The integrated 32-channel Dante interface provides audio connection for the audio inputs/outputs. It also features redundant GbE interfaces and supports AES67. What’s more, manage up to 10 systems (including graphic surveillance) from 5 workplaces thanks to the user-friendly operating software.

Limited maximum latency of Dante in wide area networks, high jitter and possible time differences can make reliable transmission difficult. The MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge solves these issues by offering a jitter buffer that includes an automatic mode and intelligent sample rate adaption (SRA).

Marketing & Sales Assistant Lukas Mahler presents the AVT MAGIC ACX Dante WAN Bridge:

Dante support & integration coming soon to BirdDog products!

BirdDog will soon bring Dante support to all its hardware products as well as integration into its Comms Pro audio intercom system and its new Dante NDI Bridge application.

Dante for Hardware

Soon all BirdDog products (Studio NDI, Mini, 4K Converters, Wallplates, SDM Modules & PTZ range cameras) will support Dante audio. Input of Dante audio can be streamed out as NDI. If there is an audio output, then audio tracks can be converted from the NDI stream to Dante audio.

Dante Comms Pro Integration

Use hardware from other manufactures with BirdDog’s Comms Pro, its revolutionary audio intercom system. For instance, Dante enabled belt packs and Dante enabled Comms boxes will be compatible.

Dante NDI Bridge Application

This Window 10 application flips audio tracks between NDI and Dante in sub-frame latency. It supports up to 3 stereo pairs, meaning Dante NDI Bridge can receive 3 NDI streams and create 3 stereo pairs of Dante audio. It can also receive a single NDI stream and create 3 Dante stereo audio pairs. The reverse also applies, thanks to Dante NDI Bridge.

Upgrade the PHABRIX Rx Rasterizer with AV Delay Analysis

With the AV Delay option for PHABRIX’s Rx rasterizers, audio-video delay is measured through a broadcast workflow.

Phabrix_Rx500_rasterizer_TEVIOS

Real-time updates of the differential delay between the video and audio channels (up to 8 pairs) are measured and displayed thanks to the AV Delay option. Using positive (+), negative (-) and zero (0) measurement indicators, users are able to see if the audio pulse is lagging, ahead of, or completely in sync with the video. The differential delay is measured in 0.1ms steps with an operating range of +/-400ms.

Additional features include compatibility with all Rx supported video formats and frame rates on SDI. It also supports measurement of two AV Delay test patterns. These include EBU Tech 3305 and LAWO V_line AV Sync. Plus, the upgrade works with PHABRIX Sx AV Delay pattern generation and measurement.

The AV Delay option is available on the PHABRIX Rx 500, Rx 1000, Rx 2000, SxA, SxD, SxE and Sx TAG instruments.

Nixer launches PLR64K Dante – 64 channel Dante network monitor for use with remote controller

The PLR64K Dante is specifically designed to allow an operator/commentator to access any two independently selectable sources on the Dante network via a simple remote control panel. Each display shows Channel Name and provides an output meter level. Balanced XLR outputs provide feeds to local speakers or headphones. It’s perfect for on-air and live applications where critical confidence monitoring is essential.

This three-part kit consists of the PLR64 Dante, 2 Gang Wall Plate Remote controller and Remote Cable 1.5M D-sub cable.

Typically, the PLR64 is be mounted to a wall or beneath a desk and then wired via the remote cable to the 2 gang wall plate remote controller.

The remote controller allows the independent selection for each output from the incoming Dante stream. Each output displays the selected Dante channel name and output signal level on the OLED display. Channel selection is made via scrolling up/down the available Dante channels via a pair of switches for each output. Each output is presented on a 3 pin male XLR. The signal is electronically balanced and provides +21dBu for 0dBFS of signal level.

Rack Mount Dante Network Confidence Monitoring by Nixer now available

Nixer’s 2U 19-inch rack mounted Dante monitoring and diagnostic unit allows for the monitoring of up to 64 Dante channels at 48kHz (or 32 channels at 96kHz).

Nixer_RDDante_diagnosticsandconfidencemonitoring_TEVIOS

The signals are available to the user via a 6.35mm headphone jack or via 75mm built-in full range speakers which are mounted in optimized ported cabinets to supply high quality sound. The speakers are automatically muted when a headphone jack is inserted.

Simultaneous outputs are also available in the form of the stereo balanced line outputs and AES output which can be accessed via XLR connectors on the rear of the RD Dante.
