Trigger Complex PGM Compositions with Streamstar SCENES MANAGER

SCENES MANAGER is the Streamstar software’s latest functionality module that allows users to instantly trigger complex PGM compositions made up from all available production elements.

A SCENE is the combination of all elements presently contained in a PGM composition. In other words, it contains everything that makes up the PGM at the moment of capture. This includes active cameras, transitions, graphics, CGs, PIP & split screen layouts, and PTZ presets. With Scenes Manager, capture a SCENE and store it or re-use it instantly with the push of a button.

Captured Scenes can also be combined into scene sequences therefore creating complex, automated workflows. Setup the SCENE SEQUENCE timeline to run automatically or trigger it manually. With minimal effort, the producer can pre-program all operations needed for the full broadcast in advance and execute complex production timelines.

AES67 integrated into AVT Telephone Hybrids

By implementing the AES67 transmission standard into its telephone hybrids, AVT facilitates the integration of these systems into modern IP-based studio environments.

This upgrade ensures communication between AES67-compatible Ravenna and Dante devices. It has been tested with DANTE, LAWO and MERGING AeS67-enabled systems. Thanks to this upgrade, MAGIC TH1Go and MAGIC TH2plus provide four audio channels while MAGIC TH6 and MAGIC THipPro provide eight audio channels. Naturally, the existing audio interfaces can still be used.

This added functionality is provided in a fee-based software update. It’s not necessary to adjust any hardware. The only limitation is that AES67 cannot be used together with ISDN.

Dejero Releases Core Software Update

The Core 5.4 software update by Dejero enables 4K UHD encoding/decoding, enhances stream encryptions and adds an additional two-way communication channel. The latest version of this software improves Dejero’s EnGo mobile transmitter, rack-mounted FlexPoint transceiver, PathWay encoder and WayPoint receiver.

Proprietary Smart Blending Technology enhances connection path reliability, delivers greater bandwidth, and expands coverage. Working alongside this is Dejero’s Hybrid Encoding Technology. Thanks to this technology, high-quality video is delivered even in challenging situations where bandwidth is constrained. In other words, it is well-suited for low-latency, live video contribution.

As previously mentioned, version 5.4 introduces new features to a variety of Dejero solutions. For instance, the FlexPoint 111 transceiver (integrated encoder/decoder) can now transmit and receive resolutions of up to 4K UHD at 60 fps with live bitrates up to 60Mb/s. The EnGo 1.3 & EnGo 260 mobile transmitters and WayPoint 104 receiver now offer two-way intercom communication. EnGo 260 also includes enhanced power management.

Lastly, Core 5.4 increases transmission security. It features AES with 256 bit key, keeping audio and video data secure. This is particularly important when using a single public network connection.

AVT Video Highlights Ember+ Integration

Sales Director Wolfgang Peters from AVT showcases the integration of the Ember+ protocol into the MAGIC systems. A Lawo mixing console is used in this particular video.

Ember+ is available free of charge on most AVT devices (excludes MAGIC AC1 XIP audio codec & MAGIC AD1 ETI decoder). Thanks to the optional Ember+ Consumer Extension, a simplified connection between DHD and Lawo consoles is now possible.
