Preview New AVT Video Function at IBC!

AVT will present its new video function at IBC 2022!

Seamlessly integrated into MAGIC∙THipPro, this video feature will be available in all AVT telephone hybrid systems. With the click of a button, transfer video and audio signal to a video playout using NDI protocol. The video function is shown completely in a web browser, instead of in the classic MAGIC THipPro LAN Windows PC client.

Currently, AVT systems support video calls via Microsoft Teams.

Media Links to Launch 4K JPEG-XS MDP3020 MAX™ IP Media Gateway

Media Links launches its 4K JPEG-XS version of the MDP3020 MAX™ IP Media Gateway at IBC 2022!

The MDP3020 is SMPTE standards-based and enhanced with support for two 4K-UHD/12G SDI video channels. It meets the need for cost effective, remotely configurable and protected 4K video over IP services at the network edge. By applying JPEG-XS compression and encapsulating the content into packets for transport over an IP network, the MDP3020 MAX processes incoming 4K, 12G SDI video/audio streams.

MDP3020 utilizes JPEG-XS with inherent high image compression and ultra-low latency processing. Use the MDP3020  in live, remote production applications, specifically where network edge bandwidths are constrained and immediate interaction between studio and venues is crucial.

TAG Introduces MCS Enhanced with New Bridge Technology!

With TAG Video System’s Bridge Technology, MCS Media Control System ingests a stream once then delivers an optimized version to multiple locations.

This NAB Product-of-the-Year solution is a valuable addition for multi-studio live production applications. The MCS transforms how users extract and utilize their own data, giving them improved operational performance as well as significant customization. It serves as an aggregation engine, system manager and orchestrator for the data collected by TAG’s MCM (Multi-Channel Monitoring) systems.

Thanks to an open-source paradigm, the MCS exposes probed and monitored data to third-party analytic & visualization applications. This allows companies to manage the entire monitoring stack from end-to-end.

TAG’s Bridge Technology, powered by the MCS, enables the user to receive a source once (video, audio, metadata) and display it directly on any TAG system. TAG Bridge then optimizes the sizing, format and delivery protocol to fit the configuration of numerous recipients. This in turn drastically reduces compute resources and optimizes the amount of network bandwidth consumed, thus freeing up capacity for the customer.

Phabrix launches portable QxP !

PHABRIX launches its newest product in the Qx series: the QxP portable rasterizer!

The QxP inherits all of the advantages of the QxL rasterizer including its extensive toolset and flexible architecture for fully portable single/dual/quad SDI operation up to 12G-SDI copper, and SDI or 10/25G ST 2110 with NMOS over mono-mode/LR or multi-mode/SR fibre using industry standard SFPs. All within a 3RU form factor with touch screen and battery V-Plate option.

The QxP features a 7-inch 1920×1200 multi-touch LCD screen,  on-set compatibility in SDR/HDR, calibration and shading applications, plus compatible with QC, MCR, engineering and R&D environments.

As mentioned, the QxP offers a wealth of functionality and workflow support within its 3RU framework. It handles UHD IP workflows at 25 GbE and has an external HDMI interface for rasterization output of up to 16 instruments.

Finally, the QxP has extensive IP support and compatibility with a wide range of 444 and 422 video formats. The unit also supports HD/3G/UHD/EUHD2110 payload generation and analysis.

At IBC 2019,  LYNX Technik launched yellobrik (model: OTR 1A41) 8K fiber transmission, solving the issue of transporting uncompressed 8K content (up to 48G) over long distances in real-time with zero signal degradation or loss.
